JRE PLANS ALADINO HABANO VINTAGE SELECTION FOR JULY

JRE Tobacco Co.’s next release will be of cigars that were rolled a handful of years ago.

The Aladino Habano Vintage Selection is a 4 1/2 x 48 Rothschild that uses a habano wrapper over a corojo binder and corojo fillers, all of which were grown at the company’s Finca Corojo farms outside Danlí, Honduras.

As the name implies, it’s a vintage release. The company says the cigars were rolled in 2015-2016, meaning they will have four or five years of age on them once they hit stores.

Vivian M. Eiroa, a spokesperson for the company, says the name was chosen because it harkens back to what the family considers the golden era of Cuban cigars, ones that were made with habano wrappers over corojo fillers.

Pricing is set at $6 and it will be offered in boxes of 50.

Additional sizes are planned for next year.

The company plans on shipping the cigars in July.
