Cigar industry veteran Julio Eiroa and his son Justo have created a new company called JRE Tobacco Co. to distribute Julio Eiroa’s cigar lines: Aladino, Rancho Luna and Tatascan. Previously, Christian Eiroa’s C.L.E. Cigar Company distributed the cigars. Christian is Julio’s son as well.
“My dad is extremely traditional,” JRE Tobacco Co. president Justo Eiroa said in a phone conversation with Cigar Insider. The new company has its own distribution, sales and marketing teams.
“We’re a fully integrated crop-to-shop operation,” Eiroa said.
Julio Eiroa’s three cigar lines debuted last year at the International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers trade show in New Orleans. All three brands are made at Julio Eiroa’s Las Lomas Factory, in Honduras.
Justo graduated from El Zamorano agriculture school in Honduras and brings his experience in consumer products and distribution chain management to JRE Tobacco Co. He recently spent the last four years with the Campbell Soup Company.
“Working at Campbell Soup taught me how important it is to support your retail customers,” Eiroa said. “With JRE, we’re concentrating on starting things off right, by focusing on supporting our retailers…and building our reputation on the quality and integrity of our name and products.”
JRE Tobacco Co. is headquartered in Miami.
